Going to have a 59 Burst Replica Built!

I should say, have it built. Have a completed body I am purchasing. My bass player is a luthier, so he’s going to fret, and finish/relic the guitar. I’m chomping at the bit to get going!

Will do. As it progresses, I'm going to go a build thread. As I'm not rich and couldn't afford "Greenie" I guess this is the closest I'll ever get to a real burst.

Yes sir! Been researching the wiring differences between modern custom shops and vintage 50's. I have a set of Bare Knuckle pickups bought, a Peter Green for the neck, which will be out of phase in the middle position, and a Mule for the bridge.

From a gentleman in AZ. He built it for himself, and is now lusting after some new wood he came across. Not sure if he building for resale but I could ask.
His idea of building these (he sold kits around 2010,2011) was watching guys buying Custom Shops, and then spending thousands more to mod them. He figured he could do them as well as the CS and let people mod them how they wanted and save lots of $$$.

Guitar is on the way to me. I have most of the parts on the way. Bareknuckle PG for the neck, and a Bareknuckle Mule for the bridge. I also ordered brass studs and wheels for the bridge, as that’s what they used in 50’s. There is a guy on you-tube that has done a deep dive on how to upgrade LP’s to 50’s specs, and to my ears, I hear a difference.

The wait for it to arrive is killing me! Can’t wait to see it fretted, and some stain on it.
