Goldfinger/ Shiva

I am thinking about buying a Shiva or a Goldfinger maybe a Boogie Stiletto. Maybe i can get a little bit of guidance here.
I have played a Shiva for about 2-3 years ago and liked the clean channel a lot but wasn`t equally happy with channel 2. What i didn`t like was the lacking smooth creamy tone which is typical for the XTC. I found the tone lacked a little bit sustain.
I play a lot Andy Timmons and love his tone. Tried the Mesa Stiletto but wasn`t 100% satisfied with the OD channel either.
Listened to some clips of the Goldfinger and find the tone quite appealing. Seems to have a warm, smooth, organic tone with lots of grind. How does the Goldfinger compare to the 20th anniversary Shiva?
What would be your choice if you were after the tone i described (Andy Timmons like fat, warm ,organic? Shiva, Goldfinger, Stiletto?
 
As a former EL34 Shiva owner, and now a current 20th KT88 Shiva owner...

The new 20th is a different animal. Same great clean channel, but the OD is clearer, and the "mode" switch really gives it a singing, thick, midrange smoothness.

Lots of people who play the 20th will say "I didn't like the old shiva, but I like this one".

Thanks a lot for answering. So you say the Shiva 20th would fit the bil for my needs.
From the amps in my avatar only the JVM is left. Really like that amp besides being too noisy.
Do you have any experience with the Stiletto, Goldfinger or the Bogner Fish?
 
I have zero experience with any of those, sorry man!
 
I played the Stiletto and thought it was just ok. The goldfinger is amazing and im still messing with it. It doesnt have as much gain as the 20th Shiva. it has this 70s rock thing going thats really organic. Ive already shot a demo video but it wont be out for a while maybe a couple of weeks. Also, Reinhold and i are going to get together and shoot a video manual the week after next. If u want an andy timmons type tone, then get the 100 watt Goldfinger and maybe a bb preamp.

Would you prefer the Goldfinger to the XTC too for that special purpose / Timmons tone`?

o ill let you guys know :rock: im also shooting a video with Reinhold next week so he can do a video explaining the goldfinger. I would probably go with the goldfinger for what you want. But the XTC can do that really well also.
