What's a really good professional grade (but NOT boutique) guitar cable.

I've used Monster Cables for the last 10 years, and maybe it's time for a change.

I like the new Elixir's and Planet Waves. The Elixirs are very clear and retain a good amount of the high end that seems to get lost with the super cheap cables.

Lava ELC. I don't know what you mean by "boutique" cables. If you mean you want a guitar cable that you can purchase from a Guitar Center than I would say your choices are limited (you could try the Mogami Platinum, but I think its way overpriced). If you mean boutique in relation to price, than many of the cables sold from Lava are cheaper (than monster) and better quality. On a personal note, my favorite cable is the Evidence Lyric (or Melody).

The best I have ever had is Zaolla. Been using the same one's for about 3 years now. Thick, stage worthy and don't coil up. But, now I see that Hosa bought them. I hope they don't go to shit. Don't know if you would call them boutique or not, but they are expensive as shit. I like Monster speaker cable, but not much of a fan of their instrument cables.

If you can solder, build your own. Mogami or Canare wire, Neutrik or Switchcraft (or whatever brands you prefer) plugs, a few inches of shrink tubing and some solder, and you have a good cable for about 1/2 the price (or better) than a store-bought pre-made cable.

Is Vovox considered boutique?

If so, Planet Waves Pro.

This...

I also have some nice Planet Waves stuff, and Mogami Platinum.

I've been using Canare cable for the past several years and have had no problems at all. I also use Canare for my pedal board as well. I bought it bulk from Markertek (which is local for me) and saved a bunch of loot for drinkin'.

This is the only way to go imho. Great quality cheap!

I"ve got a Lava ELC Tweed in 15' for sale in the classifieds. Great cable, I just have too many.

i love mogami 2524, and the evidence audio line is great as well.
