I sold a bunch of pedals when I got the quad cortex. Ended up selling the QC now I'm trying to get the standard pedals back. I got the SD1 a few weeks ago and then for old Napalm Death, Obituary, Morbid Angel tones I wanted another Rat.

So I got the Lil Rat and was surprised when it showed up as it is a good bit smaller. I plugged it in to my 6505 this week on a crunch tones and had a blast. I have a weird relationship with these pedals. I love a ton of bands who used these but usually struggle to get a good sound at home. With the Peavey it actually worked pretty damn well.

I always prized my Keeley modded Rat that I've had since forever, but I don't use it much. Whenever I did, I always used the original setting. Given that the Rat is so big and bulky, I kinda want the mini Rat pedal.

Nice man! It took me a hot minute to figure out the sweet spots of the rat circuit and once I did, I was hooked! I love the rough feel they bring as a boost and on its own with a clean channel its so nasty. I bought a bunch of different modded rats over time and narrowed it down to 4 now. I gotta say the og circuit (current version) is still the best one out of them all IMO. Wampler Ratsbane and Drunk Beaver Heavy Bat are not far behind.

Yeah I'm starting to get the hang of it better and it's a fun pedal. I prefer this vs hm-2
