Mezzabarba was kind enough to send me one of each amp to demo for the YouTube channel. I'm still pinching myself over this.
They showed up yesterday, shipped straight from Italy. I was personally more interested in the MZero as from their description, it sounded like it would suit me better. More open, raw, wild sounding. The Trinity is supposed to be more modern, fluid, compressed, and tight, with some nice features and 3 channels.
I plugged into both last night, starting with the MZero. Hit a few chords and immediately started laughing out loud. Probably one of the best tones I'd ever heard in my life. It reminded me very much of the new SLO 100 I just got, but has a more aggressive, pissed off mid thing going on, and is tighter in the low end. The gain also feels a bit more fluid than the SLO. All in all, it seems really similar to the famous Soldano, but with some vintage marshall characteristics. It is a VERY cool amp.
The Trinity is also fantastic. I'm not as excited about this one, only because I'm just really into the open and raw sounding high gainers. This one isn't super compressed, but is noticeably more so than the MZero. Both amps retain serious clarity under gain, and have a slight stiffness to them unless that gain is dialed up.
The one drawback to these amps is....they are extremely pricey. Most people won't even consider them due to the price tag, and I get that. Spending $4k on an amp, most people are going to go with names they know, Soldano, Friedman, Diezel. Etc... People even made comments on the price tag and what they'd rather buy on my Skill 30 video. But I think playing these amps would truly give you a different perspective.
I plugged into the MZero again today....shit eating grin came back instantly. I like a lot of amps, I love a few, but not many made me feel this giddy the first time I plugged into them.
