I have to say I agree thus far on both accounts. The body is EXTREMELY light Swamp ash. I mean if it's 4lbs, I'm shocked. The neck is really nice, very nice contour. Frets seem perfect. No sharp edges anywhere. Hopefully won't need a leveling.

I gutted it though, waiting for new pickups/pickguard :(

NICE!!!
they finished it?

Yeah...it cost, but they did a great job. Vintage tint nitro.

I was going to have them finish it. But I figured that 1-oiled sounds better 2-Cheaper 3-I can do it myself.

Sounds a lot thicker than my other strat.
I ordered a thick neck and a big headstock. The neck is thicker than my Explorer.

Well I'm pretty psyched to get the rest of the parts and finish it... :D

Yeah.
I was lucky I had everything ready to go by the time i had my neck, but now i realized i don't like the 'vintage' pickups and want a full size hum in the bridge.
(and my attempt to route the existing pickguard failed :( )

What color are you going with?
