Got My New Mako Mak 4 today!!!

It's still in the UPS box...!! Haven't had time to open 'er up, and I still have to get my rack and poweramp and cab, etc sorted out (hey, I've got all this stuff paid for and waiting, but I'm a busy cat!!) but my new BABY IS IN DA HOUSE!!!

Photos to follow... Once I get done catching up with work :thumbsup:

But anyhoo, congrats! I haven´t heard a single bad thing about it... talk about rave reviews.

I'm still awaiting the rest of the goods to rack it up and slam it through a Fryette Deliverance 4x12. It's all coming shortly :D

I don't really want to run in behind any of my heads right now, it's not my idea of a 1st impression, call me anal, I call it perfectionism :lol: :LOL:

Clips are coming... I bought myself a Zoom 4Hn for Christmas - the home studio is sometimes a bit too laborious to set up on a whim when the artistic juices are flowing.

This puppy will have to wait till I get the rest of my gear squared away and a bit less busy with work. Imagine, so much gear, so little time. But for all intent and purpose - this thing is going to be the cats ass, as I researched the hell out of it - clips and all - before pulling the trigger. I can't wait to play it, and you will ALL be getting a formal, in-depth, technical report including photos, set up and hi-def clips.

Awesome man! Mine is still 9 or so weeks away.

You have a Diezel Herbert don't you? Plug the Mako into the switchable loop! That power amp is the ultimate in my opinion, I just got a quartet of 6550s to put into mine to make it even more percussive, 190 watts of bludgeoning doom. That's gotta rival or beat the Fryette surely. :D

Hoping you get some of that awesomeness that FastRedPonyCar showed on his vids, that's what made me buy one!

Can't wait to hear what you think. I ordered around Dec 1st. How long did it take you to get yours? Did he just email you when it was on the way? Hope it lives up to the hype. Congrats man.

Don't be a pansy, plug it into the loop on your head and at least give us a quick at a glance impression. You want to make sure it didn't get damaged in shipping don't you :lol: :LOL: . Think of it as a test of function.

Looking forward to your report back. Let me know about noise as well I want to know if I need to go ahead and start looking at getting a noise gate or not. I prefer not if I can get by without it. I plan to use the first three channels a lot more than the Dorado anyway. Judging by the clips, the clean and crunch tones were worth what he charges for this thing. The fact that there are 2 more channels of incredible tone is just amazing.
 
Promise the wait will be worth it...
