So I bought this super old 60's Marshall PA speaker yesterday, with 10" Celestions. Along in the deal I got a little 60's guitar amp (sounds super clean and clear) lunchbox style, complete with nice NOS Philips EL84's and 12ax7's. I got it all for like 230 bucks.

I hooked it up today as WDW, and this setup completely obliviated everything else i'v tried.. the little el84 amp sound huge and clear as a bell. It made the delays from the Flashback sound spacious and 3D'ish.. The PA speakers has a wider freq range than ordinary guitar speakers, so it's perfect for recreating the delays. I can use the amp's tonestack to tailor the delay sound.
I'm so overwhelmed by the sound of this vintage and weird little WDW rig. It also doubles as couch table in the mancave, due to lack of space ;) Not everyones taste, but it falls perfectly with mine. You can have the cab at any angle you like, so it fits nicely in allot of places.

Next week ill make something! too late now, and i'm leaving out of town tomo morning. But i'm tellin you! Tubez is great for WDW! bigger than life.

connies my man- i love crazy stuff that works out

my first live rig was a dod od250 into a fender harvard reverb II ss combo line out to a alesis quadaverb Gt into an old vintage silverfaced 7027A loaded ampeg V4 half stack ala stones, racer x gilbert, early nuno era (not the crappy modern one)

pa speakers are pretty nice for wet cabs--i am using one EV sxa100 powered frfr speaker and one QSC K12

EVs have been pretty tried and true wet cabs over the years due to flat performance

looks awesome, i love the use as a coffee table, totally stealing that idea for man cave....!

Bad idea to have coffee cups or beers there when playing tho. Gonna try to make a sample when I get back :) I wonder what the cab is actually worth? Don't see allot of em.

Haha yeah, the first lunchbox amp ever.
I managed to find out they were hand build between late 50s and early 70s by a guy that had a little amp company called Tower in Copenhagen.
Real lunchbox boutique amp here ;)

It sounds godly at cranked levels.. Tight vintage overdrive...
