I was really surprised at how much I dug it! This amp has a TON of range in the EQ, like 1 notch on the dial and you've got a different amp type range.

Definitely a modern american voicing ala rectifier, but way more control over the EQ. Massive low end that doesn't tighten all the way up, but stillr eacts quicker than a rectifier would. JHowell13 let me borrow this and I swapped him my Uberschalls and I think we both ended up with new amps on our list to snag. Ha!

Recorded a quick little jam through here, although my mic placement wasn't the best after checking it later. Still sounds mean as hell! Listening back to this clip makes me not want to give the amp back, lol.

The Tre is a big monster, for sure, and all the Riveras generally are great deals for what they bring to the table. And yeah, they all have very sensitive controls and are circuits where starting with everything on five and just nudging from there is a good idea, just like you seem to have done here.

And if it behaves like all the Riveras I´ve had and played, you actually have it a bit too quiet here to really hear it. For some odd reason they all seem to wake up big time exactly at 3.5 on the master, which definitely isn´t your average home volume anymore.

Definitely it's own thing... what are you boosting yours with btw? I think I need to fire mine up now after watching your vid ?

I'm looking forward to checking out your clip when I get home. I have a KII and a KR55, and I'm a HUGE fan of Rivera amps. My KII has been my favorite amp for years now. No matter what other amps I get, nothing dethrones the Rivera.

Your description is dead on. They are super versatile, and have a metric shit ton of low end available, which definitely can be somewhat loose, but can still be tightened up considerably. The clean channel is sublime.

I'd still like to pick up a Tre at some point and a KR7.

By the way, I recommend a Tubescreamer for a boost.

Oh yeah, put something in the loop even if just a patch cable and use the loop levels to attenuate your volume. Otherwise, Riveras tend to sound a little raspy as low volumes. I run mine with my loop levels both set at 4.

Been wanting one of these for a minute at the price point seems like a ton of amp !

The sweep on the EQ is just crazy, especially the mid control.
Possibly one of the best clean channels ive heard on a high gainer as well.
