It was AWESOME!!! Easily one of the best playing guitars I've ever had the privilege to jam out on! The neck was nothing short of perfect; that's what I was most impressed with, but the guitar was flawless and a true masterpiece!

I just started working at GC (ehh, I'm in college and could use a temporary job; give me a break) and so after one of my shifts, I tried 6 or 8 Strats over a 4 hour period to hear / feel the differences. I wanted to keep things simple, so I played through a Fender Deluxe Reverb to really hear the guitars. I tried several Fender Amer. Standards, but all of them had relatively poor sustain and would need fretwork to play well. Out of those, I played a few with ash and a few with alder and while the differences weren't very big, I preferred the warmer low end of alder.

Then I tried out the SRV signature model. Between that and the Suhr, I was in Strat heaven! Perfection all around, and although I gravitated towards the SRV model because I liked the frets a little more (stainless steel was really nice, but I am favoring tall, narrow nickel), it was an awesome experience to play with some real high quality gear!

nice to hear that!
I usually play the drop-c stuff with my caparisons, but then I discovered a suhr classic which brought me to clean heaven! a few weeks later I ordered a custom modern model!

Well in the past few weeks I've learned that the guitar I played wasn't a custom classic, but a Pro Series C1. In the past few weeks, it's eaten away at me badly enough that.......I sold two other guitars to buy it! It's a true masterpiece and a hell of an instrument; I plan on keeping this one with me for a LONG time. What I'm most happy about is that I now have two guitars - this and an '05 Les Paul Std. Faded - that I'm thrilled with every time I plug in.
