What do you guys think of the TC Flashback Triple Delay? Tone prints? Who has experience?

TC makes solid stuff. There is some "to do" about their switches being dodgy. I used the HoF and Arena for a few years respectively and they worked great.

TC delays are generally good shit.

The Triple Delay just isn't for me though. I need presets.

Yeah I am in that boat as well. For the cost of the Triple, I'd look for a used Echolution 2 Deluxe. Source Audio Nemesis is my go-to these days.

The TC stuff is great though if you DON'T need all the press and stuff. Good deep editing via the app and tone print function is handy.

I've been using the Vox DelayLab for coming to 3 years now and I love it.

Brought home a Timeline just for shits and gigs. I went in knowing full well that it would very likely dethrone the DelayLab but fuck me sideways! The Vox is still on my board

I love the flashback its just awesome imo, can do a ton of stuff on the cheap

Yeah I had the Timeline and Echolution 2 Deluxe on my board at the same time, and the timeline did not last very long. Great delay for a lot of people, but was uninspiring for me.

Was going to get the Flashback because I got the HOF and really like it however I am a pedal noob.

The longer I wait and the more I read I'm starting to consider something else so I'm watching the thread. The biggest thing that stuck out to me is that I play high gain metal mostly and someone said the TC stuff isn't that good with high gain.

Started fiddling with it...cant even load a tone print lol. Got the phone app and the editor in my mac....tried loading and beaming and all I get is a simple delay like for petrucci...mountain top...quater/dotted eights....no go...just a simple delay wtf????

Not sure who said the Flashback isn't good for high gain metal. That's 98% of what I play and the Flashback has been great for me. Obviously it will sound best in the loop, so if whoever said that was running it in front of the amp that may have been the issue.

Was on here in another thread I think, can't remember who.

Still debating. I'm looking more into my loop issues (Rev 2 Uber) and seeing if there's better options.

The HOF sounds great but I have to keep the channel volume super low and use the master so it doesn't overload the pedal. I'm considering selling the HOF if I can find one Verb/Delay that handles that better. The Avalanche Run or Delay Workstation both look great but idk how they handle line levels or whatever it is.

My channel volume is also the level for my loop and I'd like to use more channel volume.

I love the amp it sounds killer but now that I'm getting pedals the loop is giving me some heartache.

I use a flashback and HOF in the loop of my Uberschall and Hagan and it sounds great. All I play is high gain stuff, never, ever do I care about clean sounds. For adding a bit of delay to a heavy distorted sound, I think it works great. Actually for my use, just about any delay sounds great because all I really need is about a 130ms delay and I'm set. So YMMV...

Had that VOX delaylab. I thought it sounded good too and ran on 9V which is a plus. It is just so darned big. Large footprint and tall. I removed in favor of gaining back some real estate on my board.

I have not actually messed with the tone print yet on my HOF so I am not much help but I assume it is not a MAC vs Windows issue?

Do you need to download any software or drivers?

Toneprints work for me

As long as the pedal is set to the toneprint slot, you have your phone speaker volume up and guitar volume up, and then you see the led flicker when sending to the pedal you should be doing it right

I like the pgs ep-3 tape delay best

The TC is great for metal, I personally prefer it for metal over a strymon el cap (using the tape mode on the TC or the other modes).

I have a triple. My favourite part about it is the dry kill (you have to crack it open to flick the switch). Overall, a great delay.

I have the Flashback X 4 and love it. Never had an issue with it. I play high gain stuff also, just keep in the loop and you're good.
