Good stuff. Been years since I last heard it. I did not know you were into Nuno. Cool. Sounds like he was using an A/DA Flanger. I also hear influences of Pat Travers in that. A few years after that, saw him make a guest appearance in LA with PT where they did an on-the-fly, unrehearsed, jam and exchanged licks for minutes on in. I believe Nuno said of PT that he was the most underrated, unfluential guitarist of our time. Got that on tape.

As much as I love his lead playing, the funk master swing riffing is killer... EVH is the only one close to the Nuno swanky riffage...

Extreme has always been one of my favorites and Nuno is a man among men on guitar. I'd agree that Pat Travers is underated, but I think the same could be said about Nuno. He gets a lot of mention on guitar nerd forums 
but certainly doesn't have the name recognition that others do with the general masses. I guess that's the way it works, though.

That is what always set him apart to me. I had to learn a few Extreme tunes back in the day - it was like learning a whole new style for me. Chord voicing, rhythm and technique. Fairly eye opening.

aaaargh this always happens when people post Extreme clips, i think yep Nuno is a KILLER player, super melodic and funky, great timing and amazing licks then Gary Cherone starts up like he's in the finals of America's Next Top Gay Stripper and i have to turn off.
