every time i see something new from her it is always so impressive. a breath of fresh air!

i bet some of her songs would sound great played through @ZEN Amps new Park JTM45!

Hopefully there will be some sweet tracks on it! Loved some of her past work, killer tone and playing.

dude.
V I N N I E .
guy’s my choice for best drummer ever.
even with his current challenges:

besides seeing him with Robben Ford, Sting, and my fave the Dyno Four at Baked Potato,

his recorded performances on Randy Waldman’s “Unreel” record is just inhuman.

the rumor is he came in late to the session smoking a cig after the band had done their run through, sat down, opened the sheet music, and nailed it first take.

Simon still kills and puts out amazing music too!

these guys aren’t my normal listening choices and the dirt tone…meh…but i enjoyed this overal

and this was really cool watching the skill of this guy on full display here:

Yeah, Lari is cool and has a signature sound, for sure. Maybe not for me, personally, but I appreciate what she does and how she gets players like Lee, Vinnie and Nathan East for her records.

I remember when she was part of some big youtube shred fest years ago and just smoked everyone by bringing in some actual musicality. Think that may be where I saw her first.

i love that she’s very technical but it doesn’t overshadow the joyful spirit of her music.

Its like she's enjoying every single minute of it. Great range of tones, great playing...

Too good....another reason for me to try golf.

This is far away from the (Gary Moore / Rory Gallagher) stylistic comfort zone I call home.

The guy on the left is an AI simulation, and the one on the right is reptillian. The guitars are designed by Ikea.

George clooney is sitting off cam, making his latest coffee advertisement.

Theres also dead bodies under the couch.

Couldn't have said it better. Also, the music made me slightly incomfortable, bit like watching some open heart surgery/procedure video LOL
There's a clear Bret Easton Ellis/"American Psycho" ambiance/atmosphere.

it’s not my first listening pick for sure, but i keep hearing these names thrown around and the prelude to this song was they sat down in that room and wrote it together in a couple of hours.

i always enjoy watching the musical collaboration process. but i embrace the sentiment of your comment. the warrior at the gate to the old world swinging his broadsword trying to keep the robot army out🙏

it makes me curious about the day to day lives of these trendy musical influencers and managing how much of their diverse income stream comes from their signature software, touring, digital music sales, and social media followers.

regsrdless of how we interpret their music, they are doing it, staying busy, and making a living.

I really wonder what's the appeal of doing youtube videos all day long. I remember as a teenager dreaming of world tours, drugs and naked groupies. this was somehow rebellious and romantic to my young naïve mind. I cannot fathom teenagers of today dreaming of becoming youtubers. The rebellious appeal of the whole she-bang seems really non-existent.

knowing the history of Jim Keltner and Jeff Porcaro this was a nice tribute chat

and an example of what they were talking about—-a far cry from plini and tosin🤣

i think the rockstar fantasy is still there in kids. but the path is different with social media.
and if they can become famous from the comfort of their own homes, versus hitting the streets and grinding it out the old grueling way, can you blame them?

the jacob collier story may change your mind about this new way as it did mine

I did not care about comfort until recently, when I turned 50 and feeling onset of arthritis in my joints. Comfort is the opposite of rebellious and romantic. Being on the road is being an outsider to society. Posting videos on youtube to make a living from your home looks more like conforming to the new world of our Silicon Valley overlords. Looks more and more like the Matrix.

I think we are a dying breed. :giggle:

I can appreciate the collab factor. They seem very nice and agreeable people which probably helped a lot, and as you say, they're making a living...

Maybe there aren't corpses there. But maybe there are! I get hunger games vibes from it, them twiddling their strings, overlooking current day LA with its zombies and other deprivations...lol (sorry, didnt mean to offend anyone from LA). As they sip on George clooney Coffee, and marvel at their Quad Cortexes.

I bet theres not an inch of dirt anywhere on those Quad Cortexes. Fresh Elixir strings, and a little iced water condenser off screen, replete with strawberries, floating around. Volume pots perfectly soldered. 60 cycle hum banished to mordor.

And theres clearly been a bit of personal grooming going on before hand.

Its a different world. lol
