I've got a Greco lester that is a great player, it actually has one of my favorite necks. They've made some great stuff and not so great over the years but over all they tend to be good. I would look at them kinda like ESP in that they have made lower line budget stuff all the way up to top of the line stuff that is very high quality, they've just been doing it longer. The super real lesters are supposed to be Gibson killers, never played one myself, I'd like to though. Your V is probably a good one in terms of the product range, it's a set neck so it's not one of the cheapo's from that era. I'd guess it's a late 70's to early 80's but I'm sure no expert, I just love some old used Japanese guitars.
