Looks great on paper for a Marshally amp. Same efficiency, different EQ curves. Tell
me why or why not. Anyone try it ?

i know i've done it with Chinese RI Greenbacks, but don't really remember much about it anymore?

seems like for some reason, i ended up thinking one 75 and three greenies was better than half and half? :scared:

I love mine. I just picked up a cheap interface that came with some software so hopefully I'll be posting some tones soon. What I like about my Marshalls are the "earthiness" they have..as queer as it sounds. Mesa's sound too clean/perfect while the Marshalls have complex high mids (mids especially with this speaker mix) and high end bite.

I think it would depend on how bright or sizzly the the top end was on the particular Greenies being used.
Also, in a 4x12 the cab it would still only be rated at 100 watts with this combination. Each T75 would only be pushing 25 watts so they couls end up sounding thin since 75's sound best being pushed hard.
I would think that T75's mixed with G65's would be a better match.

I'm not sure the power rating is going to matter much in a 4x12 as far as being pushed hard. A cranked head putting out 100W is going to divide power evenly between speakers anyway, so even if you are using an all G12T75 loaded 4x12, each speaker is still only going to theoretically see 25W.

I don't really dig 75's personally, but I'd like to hear how the combo sounds.
