greenbacks or v30's...

personal preference. but V30's goes great with Mesa amps, not most Marshalls IMO. a jcm800 should play well with greenbacks or even gt75s.

Greenbacks. I have been using the EVH 4x12 and those sound good with any amp I through at it.

I use a mix of greenies and 75's, with my 2203. My boogie cab with v30's sounded great too, but I tend to dime the mids, and the 75/greenie cab was a better match for me...

Didn't see this post before I posted mine, but I really tend to agree with this for older marshalls. The 800's and jmp's are so mid heavy, they sound better to me with a less mid spike of a speaker...even for heavier stuff.
The 2210 might be better with v30's if you're playing metal.. wasn't that scott ians old setup back in the day????

Any Marshall with V30's just sounds harsh to me. That, and I've NEVER heard Greenbacks sound bad with ANY amp. Uberschall + GBs? Sounds great. Diezel? Awesome. Mesa? Heaven.

I've tried a ton with my Ceriatone 2204 and I like the Weber Legacies over GB's, V30's, 75's, 65's, and H30's......it's really not even close. I'm gonna try a Lynchback tonight.

one cab with v30's and another with greenbacks would be cool. already have one with 75's. or maybe v30 and greenback in a x pattern. there's a bogner cab near me for sale with v30's and h30's in a x pattern. that would be cool, but I don't want to pay that much for a bogner cab.

c90's! they sound amazing with marshalls
tons of low mids and flat center/upper midrange
for scooped high gainers, I usually like greebacks, but v30's always sound better for recording and for some particular amps

I'd go greenie...the DSL I used to have sounded great through 'em, not so true with the V30s.

Both!
25wGBs on top and v30s bottom.

This....or a slight variation. I actually like the 2-V30's and 2-65w combination. Whether they are Scum M65's or Celestion T65's doesn't matter. This way, the V30's don't tend to overpower the GB's. Either way though, I am having good vibes with this set up with Marshall type amps and the SLO.
