Greg Howe AxeFX vid

greg's laguna is a very nice guitar and alot better quality than the typical lagunas in guitar center. ive played the guitar in the video several times. I built and programed that Axe fx rig that Greg is playing in the video and it sounds amazing in person and on the video. Greg and I even A/B that rig with his Cornford head. The axe fx sounded just as good to our ears.

Is Greg still using Suhr's at all?
 
I agree Pyscodave, I am not sure if thats mic bleed or what, because it didnt sound fizzy and overly bright in person. Greg likes alot more high end than I do though.

and no Greg is not using Suhrs
 
who actually care abouth greg tone?

hes a great player but ALWAYS had a crappy tone

Yeah, I agree. I didnt hate what I heard in the vid, besides, you cant tell anything because the quality was terrible. Greg Howe is an absolute beast of a player but hes never been one of those guys that I associate with great tone . Ive seen him play through loads of fine gear but just never liked any of the tones that he got or went for,,

For me, when the playing is happening the tone becomes secondary,at best.

Thats pretty much what I meant to say, With Howe, You kinda forget all about the tone when he does his thing...
