Griffin Analog : New Stuff

Finished up a few new builds I'll be running anytime / all the time

Going by requests .... input and feedback .... here are the following

my versions of :

Friedman Buxom Boost ( Have been asked a bunch of times if I did one ...... here it is ) I'll just call it " Betty "

Spaceman Equinox ( which is suppose to be a Pultec/Pullman EQ in a pedal )

an RT RAT circuit ( modded Rat with clipping options and added Presence control ) with new graphics " Ice Rat " ???

VFE Focus which I have called Scythe ..... this pedal is no longer made and is expensive as hell if you can find one .... I've seen some of the Old Schoolers talk real clout about the VFE pedals .... I understand why now ..... this thing is supercool for dialing in high gain tones .... just google/youtube it ... you'll see ..

if anyone is interested in anything .... you know how to find me ...

I hate you Wayne…. But I can’t quit you… the rt rat is three pedals in one…. You can use it as an overdrive, distortion, or fuzz…. I am using nuno’s always on settings and it really gives your picking some percussion and more dynamics. And it’s quiet. So if you’re on the fence about one I really recommend it. That eq and scythe…. 😍

I've got boards to do plenty of each ......... you can order one whenever .....

someone won one of the Scythes ............. I don't remember who .... I have to go look for that
 
Love the graphic for the Rat. There was a favorite British author of mine when I was discovering horror novels in my early teens named James Herbert and he had a trilogy of books on large mutated Rats. Don’t know if they hold up all these years later but loved them back then. He also wrote several classic horror books.
 
The Scythe (focus) is actually a big win for anyone wanting a very organic gain/mid-booster.

The term "transparent" gets very overused these days when it comes to boost/od circuits, but these really earn that description because when you engage it you still retain so much of the same pick-to-string response and feel.
IMO it's especially great for running after active pickups or very high output scorcher passives because it won't add a bunch of additional squish like most other mid-boost and overdrives.
 
Anything different/better about "Betty", vs. the Buxom Boost??

I've been testing the hell out of the Scythe and the Equinox on a spectrum analyzer ..... very cool stuff ...
 
Look great, I'm sure there was a dude on here who had a couple of the VFE pedals, the focus I think and maybe the Dragon?, both sounded great, but I preferred one over the other, will need to have a look.....I know the original builder stopped making them (apart from a few special runs), good to know that someone else is making them. Would you ship to UK?
 
Honestly I really want that eq pedal but that thing intimidates the hell out of me. Don’t laugh but my bbe sonic maximizer pedal has become my always on pedal. I’m sure that eq is a helluva lot better and more than the bbe. And that rat pedal is killer. Where would you run that eq? End of the chain?

anywhere you would put any EQ ... front end .... loop ... etc

Is the blue one on top the Betty? That looks like it would be useful for a pedal steel. How much? I might have to hit you up later this summer.

the Pulteq EQ ( Equinox ) is a insanely good EQ ...... the EQ curves you can get with this thing you can't get with a regular EQ ...

you might think boosting and cutting at the same time doesn't make sense .... but it does some really cool stuff to your tone

nope .... the black one with the purple knobs is the Betty ...

you're eyeballing that Equinox .....
