Groove Tube GOLD GT-KT88-SV will they fit will they work???

I was looking at the Groove Tube GOLD GT-KT88-SV MATHCED PWR TUBES HI output DUET KC.. would these tubes be ok to run in the herbert?
 
They may be a bit tight on the clam clamp. I tried some JJKT88s that sounded great but it snapped my clam clamp - but the base was flanged much more than the GT was.

At least in VH4 and in all other amps I have fitted KT88 or 6550 tubes, you need to remove the clamps. Two bolts per retainer = approximately less than 5 min altogether. 10 min time and lots of cursing to get them back. :thumbsup:
 
i have 4 kt88 and 2 6550's in my herbert and i had to take those clips off
after i did that it was clear sailin
 
Do you like the way it sounds? Is it better than before? :D
 
I like it, it is alot more punchy that with the ruby's i had
