The core tone is very good but there's some kind of chorus/doubling effect that's throwing me off.

I noticed that too. On some of the clips I panned an SM57 on a v30 to one side, and used a Suhr RL into an IR on the other side. I think there must be some latency that gives it that doubled vibe. I'll put up some better stuff soon. I want to make a quick playthrough, showing all this thing can do.

Can't say enough about how killer this amp is after Redplated's mods.
I've recorded some clips comparing the EVH Stealth, 2204 and Mesa 50 Cal, as well as different speakers with the 2204.
l need to get them into video format.
Want to do a proper demo of the MOAB too. Been lazy with this stuff.

Hard to tell in the video, but there's more punch and articulation from the MOAB in the room.
It's more cutting, krannngky and present in the room.
Shitty phone mic is boomy.



Tried a different mic option on the phone. This sounds a bit more like what I was heaering:

Totally.
The EVH low mids are nice. It opens up some when the volume goes up.
Double tracking with each amp panned in stereo is thick.
The MOAB tho, so easy to play.
