I don't think Grover works for BC Rich. I think he and Mike Learn are doing some work together and BC Rich probably contracted with them to build a few guitars.

BC Rich seems all fucked up and has been for years. HHI bought BC Rich but I cannot tell you who is making their handmades. The prices are so far out of control. BC Rich does not seem to be interested in their own custom shop, just their imports. I've been a BC Rich fan since the early 80s and as far as I can tell that company is a mess as far as USA made instruments and marketing go.

in the 80's there was a line of bc rich guitars made in usa with bolt on necks that were made by charvel. grover also did a signature guitar in the mid 90's with washburn usa. Is there something wrong with current custom shop bc rich's as far as their quality?? I always wanted a mockingbird in trans red like slash's.

The 80's BC Rich's you're talking about were designed by Wayne Charvel who really had nothing to do with the success of the Charvel guitar company.

Well thats the thing. HHI isn't telling people much as far as who is making the current line of BC Rich guitars. I have no idea what the quality is like at present. I do think their prices are way high.

Get with Neal Moser--he designed and built many of the old BC's we know and love, and his new custom shop guitars are to die for!!

It wouldnt be the first time! Back in 1979 when Grover was getting Charvel started in the pre-production days he built bodies and necks for Bernie Rico ( Son of a rich bolt on BICH). These guitar bodies and neck were made in the San Dimas shop then finished and assembled at BC Rich! Many people discount these early USA economy models, but hey they were made in 79' by Grover Jackson in San Damas!
