Any one know of any good luthiers in the Bay Area/east bay ? I know of a few in San Francisco but I'd rather not venture over the bay bridge into that traffic ridden city. Any help is greatly appreciated

Is blue note still in Berkeley? They fixed a broken neck on an old 540s I had back in the day and it was almost invisible when I got it back and it was a bad splintered break. I'll actually be there tomorrow night and want to see if it's still there.

I haven't been there in years , never knew they did repairs setups ect.

To hijack the thread ever so slightly while the OP hasn't yet responded about what he's specifically looking for - how about SS refrets? Everyone I've spoken to in Oakland and SF wants $700+. Been a while since I had a refret, but holy cow, that's way more than it used to be.

What do you need done? I do paint.

Some fretwork , possibly a new nut . I've got a MIM Charvel that needs a little help

I'm in the east bay and have a few really good contacts that I use on a regular basis-PM me.
