Do you have experience using a guitar poweramp that is the same size as a regular pedal? The 44 Magnum has caught my eye and it has 44 watts of power. Others have up to 100 that are more expensive. What has been your experience?

It’s a cool toy, doesn’t sound great but get by, and surprisingly loud.

I think the BluGuitar Amp1 (Mercury) sounds great IMO, but never had the need for one, but still considered it several times.

The amount of wattage and headroom you will get out of these solid state poweramp pedals will depend on your cabinet impedance. Most of them only deliver max power at 4 or 8 ohm loads. With a 16 ohm cab, youre looking at least half the power rating.
I'm using an SD Powerstage 170 into an 8 ohm 2x12. I'm only getting about 85 watts, but it's still very loud and clean.
