Just Curious what Seats you guys use in your studios or Man Caves/Guitar Room? I need an Adjustable seat with a Back, No Arms & has wheels.

I have a fold up arm desk chair I use ..... and I also have a super comfortable drum seat/ stool that I like also ...

Any comfy office chair with either no arms or fold-up arms will do. But the super cheap ones will usually have the cylinder fail, especially if you are heavy. I'm not heavy but my cheapo is only a year old and it slowly sinks down as your sitting in it.

I like the ones that have fold-up arms.

Also, my wife got me a Fender stool from GC a long time ago. Either way, I usually stand while playing.

Ha, mine is green. Same chair.

Did you buy that chair to match your Splawn, or the Splawn to match the chair?

^ saw it at Office Depot not long ago and said, "Shit I've got to have that chair"

Splawn as it sits now maybe 10 years old.

I wouldn’t want anything with wheels. I sit on a regular chair, but I can’t get comfortable enough. Maybe somethin with a leg rest on it would help.

Actually it is a great topic to discuss. Do you guys wear guitar straps while sitting?

yes-

have to have a strap....

I would want wheels for sure but I still like a perch for my right foot. A wah on top of a board is perfect.

Those drum stools are handy to have around. And how does every guitar player have a drum stool anyway? I don’t remember stealing it but I use it a ton. Mostly for this.

My number one strap is a Chinese bass strap with rubber o rings that act like strap locks on the cheap. Heavy padding also. It’s great.

wish there was a low chair for floor usage while I’m fiddling with the rack stuff, cables etc. Legs hurt while sitting on ground too long like putting kid toys together at Xmas.

I try to stand most of the time at self practice with a strap because it prepares me to play out; endurance, posture; angles of arm and should change a bit from sitting to standing.
