I'm out on vacation in Seattle and Vancouver in a couple weeks, just wondering which guitar shops you locals like to visit. Thanks!

Emerald City Guitars in Seattle is awesome

If you're gonna be in Seattle on a weekday, you could try to stop by the soldano factory but i highly recommend calling in advance

Have a nice trip

Thanks! Have you been to the Soldano factory before? I'd feel like I'd be wasting their time since I'm not really looking to buy an amp at the moment, unless it's something they offer the general public. "Come try out a SLO and see if you can't resist taking one home!" ;)

There is a lot of them....
I figured, I was hoping to get the short list since I'm only in Seattle for several days. Any in particular you like for variety, booteeky type shops or otherwise?

Emerald City is one of the better ones. Trading Musician sometimes is great .... sometimes not. Because of my work I travel around town often ..... Where I go is often about what inpaticular I am looking for or just passing by on the way home from work. Anything paticular you are looking to check out ?

I wanted to go but forgot to call in advance, not to mention i didnt realize they'd be closed on the weekend (doh).

I've heard they're pretty nice, i suppose you could just go with the premise of being interested in trying one since they're not readily available, worth a call in my opinion!

Being from Canada I was hoping to see one of the US chains and something more local for variety's sake. Shops up here are a bit slow getting new product releases so I was hoping to try out one of the new ESP/LTD Elite guitars. I also wouldn't mind trying a Soldano or Bogner just to satisfy my curiosity since I haven't seen either in person before. While I'm thinking of amps, anyone there carry Diezels?

Tapestry in White Rock, BC
These guys are on my radar. What's their in-store selection like?

Any more fellow Canucks looking to chime in? I know you're out there somewhere, Mo! :)

There are a few nice ultra high-end and high end places if acoustic guitars tickle your fancy but almost nothing for high end solid bodies.

Honestly, there's a reason I import all my gear :)

Emerald City, American Music Seattle, American Music bellevue (might have some Bogner in stock but I would call first as they are usually pretty thin), Seattle GC can sometimes have some nice stuff in the quiet room. Thunder Road is only open Wed through Saturday as I found driving out there on a whim on a Tuesday

RE: Soldano, you can call ahead and ask if it's OK to visit, who know's what they'll say. I've been there a few times but most times had a Soldano, income generating reason for it. :D

There's an amp maker here by the name of Ben Verellen who makes some cool amps. If you call ahead you can visit them.

There's also Tommy's Guitars in Everett and he has a pretty good pedal selection.

The Guitar Store on Aurora, don't know if they actually stock everything on their site though.

No store I know of carries Diezel. If a store here lists they sell Soldano I've never seen it, except maybe a 2x12 cab.

A# music in Renton has Grosh guitars and some Rivera amps.

Always recommend visiting any nearby GC as who knows what they'll have used.

Just dropped off my amp there today to have some work done :D
Not a whole lot to see there (Some amps and a few guys+ Mike working a bit)

Emerald City
American Music Seattle and Bellevue
A Sharp Music in Renton
Trading Musician Seattle
5 Guitar centers in the surrounding area (in case you have none by where you live)

Skoora named a lot of the better ones..... The Guitar Center in Tacoma sometimes has Diezel. I have been to Soldano - Mike is great guy.
