Hey guys I have always had my guitars and amps in my below grade basement. I feel like I have to make neck adjustments more often than most people. Is there anyway to combat this?

Any suggestions on a large basement humidifier/dehumidifier?

First thing. Get a temp/ humidity gauge. I use a humidifier during the winter and a/c in the summer. But my room is in my garage.

Most dehumidifiers will keep a selected contant humidity. I run a pump on mine so I don't have to keep emptying it.

Depending on where you live, it's probably not necessary to run in the winter months.

Humidifier in the winter and a dehumidifier in the summer. Keep it 40-50%

I live in the north east and use a dehumidifier in summer and humidifier in winter. I have an older version of the Frigidaire posted above and it works great. My basement is perfect year round. 45-50% humidity. Super low radon as well 0.29pCi long term average (anything over 4.5 is bad). Keep in mind my basement has heat/ac ducts along with a return, so that helps a lot.

If there is ever a super rainy day or any other need to get rid of humidity fast, I have a 50 year old Westinghouse dehumidifier that is a monster. It’s a bit loud, but the fucker basically sucks water out of the air better than any humidifier I’ve seen.

I keep it above 40% in the winter but 65% doesn’t worry me in the summer.

Agree.

We're right on the edge of the big monsoon thing happening in the SW right now.
This is pretty high for us.
