Helping out a friend and need to know: Besides Guitar Center, does anyone know of any good guitar stores in the Milwaukee area?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Have to mention this..I grew up near LaCrosse, in Winona about 30 miles away in Mn. Haven't been to Dave's since HS, back in 85. My father in law is 67 and still gigs, plays the oldies with his same band as he has for 35 yrs. Same guys. He also knows Dave, and we met in La Crosse a few weeks back for lunch and went to the shop. If any of you are near or passing through LaCrosse sometime it's worth stopping by and checking out the vintage collection on the 2nd floor. He has what has to be the most incredible and valuable guitar collection in the country, or at least top 2 or 3...I counted 32 vintage strats and teles, all 60s vintage....12 50s LPs, he does own a 59 but he keeps that in a separate location. Has a 59 explorer. One of the strats, Clapton has offered him over 100k for and he turned it down. Lol. Piles of vintage Vox, Fender and some Mk Boogies as well. Vintage Mosrite, Danelectro, Rickenbacker, and more that I can't remember. Just amazing, and has to be 1-2 million in value.vchizzle":12d3hwl4 said:Dave’s is cool albeit a small version. Cream city is nice. Distinctive looks awesome but haven’t been there yet. Cascio Interstate music, I’ve had some luck at.
