The guitarist is Trond Øien, and i think this tone is awesome. I can hear a distinct chorus effect in it, but im not sure if its before or after the amp, or even both. He probably used marshalls like most of the other bands of that era. it kind of sounds like he is using a wha wha pedal, but not sure, its kind of hard to hear because of the heavy chorus effect and whammy-bar use. If anyone have any information on his gear please feel free to inform me, as I can't seem to find any info on his rig anywhere on the net.

Closest I got. From the reunion show at Diesel's 50th birthday :D

I'm guessing that the rightmost Marshall is Ronni Le Tekrø's. They played the same evening.

Thank you for the input. Cool to see other Norwegians on here!

Like i guessed, he uses marshalls, so i it must be either pedals or studio tricks going on with his tone. Maybe they used the same studio or mastering engineer that TNT used, The "Drums of war" album was released almost the same time as TNT's "Tell No tales" so who knows!

I guess many of those guys were in connection with each other. The hard rock scene in mid-Norway isn't that big :D

There is most definitely some sort of EQ before the amp. ID gather he is using a parametric EQ or he is using something similar to what Ronni did back in the day. I can hear it because I use that trick all the time.
