I picked up a set of these (Neck & Bridge) for a whopping $75.00 (shipping included) and thought, oh well, for that price if they suck I'll just chuck them. To my surprise, these things are downright NASTY! Suddenly my Les Paul cuts like a knife. Tight bottom end with screaming highs. The harmonics jump out like never before. Crystal clear, great response and attack.

I was looking for a high gain solution to replace the EMG's I've grown to love in a passive PU and I think these fit the bill very nicely. Had to go back down and play them again today to be sure I was really hearing what I did yesterday and I can confirm, these PU's kick Azz.

I know I have found quite a few great new products here reading others post so I hope this is a benefit to anyone looking for a kick ass PU without having to spend $200-$300.

they look cool. they got a website with output or eq info?

These are made by Artec. Same pickups as GFS and Dragonfire. They’re hit or miss in my experience.

I really don't care who makes them and to be 100% honest, I'm about sick of "Name Brands" charging 3-5X more because of the name on the box. I've bought the best of the best and I'll stack the cheap Guitar Fetish single coils and these humbuckers up against any big name brand. Side by side these sound every bit as good or better than a set of EMG81\85, my Zakk Wylde set, SD Blackouts and a few high output Dimarzio and SD passives.

I guess I'm not afraid to take chances on new products and lately, it's paid off in spades, so I wanted to share this with the group.

I used to have one of those Guitar Fetish active pickups. It was pretty good. A bit noisy, but not any worse than EMG's, just different.
