What's out there besides the Jackson PC1. I don't think the neck with no inlays would work for me. Otherwise I like the features and looks of those.
Diggin the idea of the onboard sustainer system.

Sustainer on PC1 is just a gimmick. I removed mine. Neck is a baseball bat. Hated it. I shaved mine down...

Whatcha talkin bout Willis? The one I had worked great and neck wasn't thicker than a strat.

One of my secret weapons in the studio. Got it setup with a bone nut and .11 strings. Sounds great with the PRS #7 humbucker.

If you can find a nice one used, I have a Jackson Dinky DK2S pro series, made in Japan, that shreds. It has the inlays, and a nice neck profile. Fun guitar. I bought mine new for around a grand, but I'd say you can find them waaaay cheaper now.

My Jackson dealer told me that on the recent years, they have increased the size of the neck on PC1's. The ones I owned in the past had super fast necks that felt like a nice worn in strat. He didn't even let me try one of the newer ones because he knew I would hate the thickness of it.

That being said, the PC1 sustainer was totally fun to play with. I loved using it in a band situation to add color to my parts.

For me I am thinking the new thicker neck would be better as I am used to LPs.
I love cranking up a high gain amp and finding the sweet spot to catch endless sustain. The reality is I can't always turn up loud enough where that is easily achieved. The idea of catching feedback and producing those harmonics effortlessly from anywhere on stage is very enticing.

I saw Joey from Burn Halo playing a new sustainer pickup in his schecters this week. Sounded gnarly.
