I'm kinda eye'ing a couple here and there online for sale. Is there a particular year that's the best, or sucks in comparison? Any special hardware or finish features some had that others didn't due to the year, etc?

I believe the earlier ones had actual Floyd bridges, now they are Charvel mfg.

Hmm, I would've figured at that price they all used German made Floyds. Looking at GC's webpage, sure enough, it says USA made Charvel locking tremolo.
