I have been messing around with a lot of pedals again lately .... this one is easy one of my favorites.

Anyone else have or use one ?

Still have mine and use it often. My typical settings are spank. Cut almost all the way up, gain 9 to 2 o'clock, and level so its even or a slight boost in volume. I haven't used it as a boost much in the crank mode, generally use my Maxon OD-808 as a boost. Only thing it doesn't really do is super low gain, but I just use other pedals or amp sounds for that.

I've got one but really never used it because I only use a pedal with my JMP and really like the Bloody Murder with it.

I really like mine with my Marshalls and my Peavey Classic 30 but can't seem to get into it with my VHT or Boogie stuff..

I do not use mine with my highgain amps either. Only the amps that are NMV or have a master bypass like THD Flexi. Even then I only use it for some lead stuff most of the time. Trying to get more liquid type leads from a JMP style amp. The TS9 just does not have enough bass & too much midrange for my taste.

I was messing around with it last night using it more like a distortion as opposed to using it like a overdrive like I usually use it.

Taking a stab here because I have not actually tried it through a JMP, but what about one of the Jetter pedals?

Have you tried the Cmatmods Brownie w/ both jfets installed? or the Radial Tonebone Classic, or Hot Brit?

I'm wondering if revisiting the Suhr Riot, w/ the Dyna Comp slamming it a bit, might get you the smooth and liquid you want. Noisey when you stop, unless you kill the compressor. Maybe check out some fuchs pedals??

I have tried all those pedals ..... They all sound good. But it always comes back to just liking the amps by themselves better. Regardless of what pedals or whatever else I use the JMP does not sound like a Mesa Mark amp doing lead.... :)

Ya, I hear you. There is something about a Mesa MK singing lead tone, that make them special. Too bad those little combos weigh a freakin ton.
