Hey guys,

I've a question concerning my new Hagen. As soon as I got it, I AB'ed with my VH4s. I think it sounds thicker and fuller and meaner in most cases(especially on Ch. 3), and it's a great change for me, personally. However, I was told Channel 2 should sound pretty close to the Vh4 Channel 2. This is not the case. The Hagen's Channel 2 is WAY too dark, even with the treble cranked to 10 and the bass and mids barely on. I feel like it needs a bright switch. Currently I'm only able to use this channel with a massive amount of EQ and a TS-9 with the tone on 10 to brighten it up. Does anyone know why this would be?

Thanks!

hmmm... I'll try swapping out the preamp tubes and see what happens...

Thanks!

Ch.2 is outstanding on my Hagen. Truly outstanding - dark it is not.

My guess? Preamp.

No problem here, quite an amazing channel, Gain, TMB are all between 12 and 13 o'clock.

If I were Peter I would made a 1 channel amp of this baby

Hmm... I bought it from Jens Kruse(a former Diezel tech out in LA) and he said he prefers the amp to be voiced that way, and it's a matter of taste. I've got shows tonight through sunday night, but I'll tinker with it after the weekend and post some vids or sound clips.

Thanks everyone!
