Much better, Rez. Didn't like so much the clip you posted over at the RT forum. Too much efx.
Here I can hear the amp and it's definitely a winner. What else can we expect from Papa Diezel.
EDIT:
The Hagen is definitely another work of art from the master himself. Anything that comes out of the Diezel camp will always be a thing of pure beauty and excellence.
After listening more closely to the 4 channel comparison clip IMO I can make this observation; the Hagen definitely is unique amongst the other Diezel amps. The clean channel 1 is nice, nevertheless the Herbert channel 1 reigns supreme in the clean Diezel amp department. It just rings like no other. Channels 2 & 3 are very nice and 'different' from the VH4 channels 2 & 3. Channel 4 is a classic Diezel lead vibe. So you have your clean, crunch, mega level rhythm crunch and your singing lead vibe. Only Diezel can design such fantastic and exclusive tone.
Having said that, the Hagen will not be in my crib anytime soon. The Herbert IMO is still the Diezel flagship and the ultimate design feat of guitar amp engineering.
If you think closely about it, Hagen being a straight forward 4 channel beautiful amp; the Herbert is a more complex and flexible semi-virtual 8-voicing channel amp.
This is not accounting for the second master volume – 2 extra voicings.
Channel 1 with the mid cut switch gives you 2 distinct variable voicings.
Channel 2 with the -/+ and mid cut switch gives you 4 distinct variable voicings.
Channel 3 with the mid cut switch gives you 2 more distinct variable voicings.
All-in-all IMO, no engineering project born and delivered from the Diezel camp will ever be a disappointment. One can only expect superior engineering and customer support at the highest level.
