Hey Guys

I plan to get one of those.Like the simplicity of one amp with 4 real channels that do it all .I'm NOT doing any metal at all. For me metal is the first Metallica album ..I don't know of anything else LOL..My taste are more of the 80's/90's hard rock..but with a very heavy sound like Lynch's
The one with the best clean , I mean closest to a Fendery one will also have an influence on my choice ......I tried the VH4 but it was 8 years ago almost and at my age my memory sucks ;)

thanks for your input

Well,

I own both Amps (Hagen and VH4S) and imho the Hagen is a better amp for classic rock. Hagen's second channel is amazing for "not-so-metal" riff-sounds and Hagen's first channel is closer to a fender silverface/blackface sound than the first channel of a VH4 :D

In general, Hagen is voiced a little bit darker and provides a little more low mids than the VH4 and has a very special overtone rich, "3D" sound.

Both amps are amazing and you'll probably not regret it if you buy either of them. ;)

Well this is exactly the answer I was looking for :) thanks man

I bought a VH4 a few weeks ago, after going back and forth between a Hagen and a VH4 for some time. i doubt you'd go wrong with either. for me, i've tried to make every amp i've owned sound like ch3 of the vh4, without really realising it. i am really happy i chose the vh4; for me ch3 was simply the sound i heard in my head for years :)

Hagen has a better clean channel, and a less compressed sounding 4th channel. There is a Hagen for sale here in the classifieds for super cheap...

Cool but it will be cheaper for me as new as I'm on the right side of the pond ..at least for this :D ;)

I've had both, and I love both. If you want THE signature Diezel sound, the sonic mayhem that started it all, get a VH4 - it's a studio staple around the globe and can melt faces. For me, the Hagen is this throwback to the old school feel of lava-flowing hardcore amps, along with a terrific contemporary glisse and a nice thick helping of the signature Diezel tone. It also has this amazing responsiveness and touch sensitivity. Before this starts sounding like some lame-ass pulp romance paperback, let me just say the Hagen, to me, nails everything perfectly right for what I wanted out of my amp - especially Diezel amp.

Ok one says it's old school n some say it's totally modern what the he'll is Hagen ?

I'm gonna take the plunge n order one. I owned a vh4 for awhile. Nice amp. Herbert crushed it for me though. Is there any decent clips of hagen besides the ones on YouTube right now cuz they blow!

Everyone has their own taste for sure! See my Herbert halfstack didn't last long, always liked the Einy's enough...but this 2011 VH4 blueface has killed any Hagen gas for me. This amp sounds incredible, it's the exact opposite of sterile, it just sings with tone at any volume! First amp for me that just does not need a pedal in front of the o.d channel for any reason what so ever.
Edit - I'm full of shit, I still want a Hagen...but this VH4 is all that.

A clip like that YouTube video brad new diezel rig. Now that's a sick clip. The only Hagen clip I like us the guy w the prs then the strat on ch3 that seams to be pretty legit! Even the strat sounded badass just looking for more. I know diezel delivers.
