So, I finally got my hands on a Hagen. First take, in all honestly, i wasn't impressed. Then i went back today and a/b'ed it against my herbie mk1, and in all honesty the herbie is a beast, but what I learned to like about the Hagen is it's versatility while still keeping Diezel tone!
I love the cleans, i feel i can get close to the herbie cleaning by putting gain low and volume high, but i get more crispy cleans with higher gain settings.
my main questions have to do with ch 2-4, especially 3 and 4.
some applications, i find the right tone with my gain at 2-3 o clock, channel volume around 11, treble 2, mid 10-11, bass 12 and master volume 10-11.....presence and deep around 12.....but at these levels, as soon as i stop playing the guitar, i get serious microphonics....any suggestions? i have a noise gate on my nova system and i'm sure someone would recommend some time of hush super c or isp decimator, but any tricks without having to use those?
thanks! and is it bad if i'm tempted to keep my herbie and hagen
