Man, I gotta say I agree. People used to get mods to get that "one last thing" they wanted on the amp that was unavailable otherwise. These days, people buy a $3000 amp, dial in "their settings", and send it out to get modded 3 days later. About 3 days after they get it back from the people doing the mods, it's up for sale. I've said it once I will say it again...these guys who constantly amp flip will never accept that they are just unhappy with their playing ability and they will forever think they just "can't find the amp for them". Keep throwing money away, I guess.

I've never heard anything that can match the sound of an old VOX and/or Marshall pushing speakers to their limit. When you're in the pocket of the feedback loop, there's nothing else like it. No attenuator can give deliver that. Jack a Super Lead/Bass 100 to 5-6, and you'll quickly find-out how useless that MV mod becomes. A "one-wire" mod + TS9 for some additional attitude is all you need. The old HIWATT heads were equally magnificent, but they don't compress in the same manner.
