If I switch to half power on the stock new model BE100, do I need to plug my 16 Ohm Cab into the 8 Ohm out, or is it a Triode switch?

Say, there is no user manual somewhere for the BE, is there? I was just wondering, don't you need it, also to be on the safe side legally, if someone washes his amp in the bath tub while plugged in etc?
