I played one at NAMM and was smitten. Bob Shade was fantastic to work with. It looks like a surf twang axe but man, this honey smokes through my Soldano SLO and Scumback-loaded cabs.
-it plays great
-the vibrato has an exception response and feel
-balance and feels incredible against my body when hanging from a strap
-sounds PHENOMINAL with high gain; clean sounds are good but not for the clean freaks....P90-ish. These are the hotter of the two pickups they offer and I play mostly with high and medium gain.
Photographing the black metallic sparkle is not easy.....
