I was at an old-school (90year-old) German man's house during that show.

He had the telemavision locked on the ABC channel as many old-timers do. He was horrified.

Interestingly, the vast majority of the performers sang terribly. Had they not been transvestites, there's no way in Hell any of them would've landed the gig.

I know you guys were joking but honestly, the singing was amateur-level to the max.

I understand that for whatever reason the roster had a heavy drag-queen bias but everyone in the room I was in was dumbfounded by the fact that the national broadcaster could dish up such pathetic singing to a new-year's-eve audience.
