I have to say, it fortunately wasn’t too painful of a year for me and my family. I had steady work, stayed healthy and bought a bunch of gear.

Back atcha brother.

"Happy New Year"
( I actually made it past midnight for a change)
Haha that was the first sign I needed to retire from playing out..by the middle of the 2nd set I was dead tired.

Here is to a more prosperous 2021 hopefully for all of us.

I was lucky too with health and work but I can see how it could have easily been the opposite.

Was watching one of those yearly retrospective specials yesterday and they took a block of time to recognize mostly famous people that passed away last year. You know, little 5 second collections. This is a broader list as I had to look it up but just name a few: Charlie Daniels, Kenny Rogers, Bill Reiflin, Little Richard, Peter Green, Johnny Nash, Neil Peart, and dudes from Mountain, Molly Hatchet, Machine Head, Falling in Reverse, Misfits, Sacred Reich, King Crimson, Head East, Bay City Rollers (if you remember them), Mark Stone (original bassist Van Halen),....and a bunch more as the list sadly goes on an on.

But when they reached Eddie Van Halen this swell came over me, tears welled up, shivers and goose bumps as if I had forgotten. Honestly I'm still trying to process. RIP Ed. :(

Man, I feel ya on Ed....I've been listening to the first 4 albums nonstop for a few months now. I searched out some vintage JBLs and put them on top of GB reissues in an old beat up Sound City cab just to nerd it out with VHI tone...with my JCM 800 and a boost, there it is for sure..that top end super sizzle that is the key to that sound. Of course, I can't play remotely like Ed but gotta have those JBLs to get there.
Too damn old to woodshed it anymore lol..

Me as well brother. Wife n I are medical so pretty safe in any economy...I did get Covid though but it didn't last long with me fortunately.
Got some cool gear to finish out my 'want' list so at this point there's not much else out there I want to try.
Maybe another Modded Marshall...

Happy New year to all you guys as well!

I Hope everyone stays safe and healthy for 2021.
