Has anyone bought from Guitar Cabs Direct?

Contrary to rumor, they aren’t the same as mojotone. Curious if anyone has experience with them or are aware of any of who they make OEM cabs for.

I don't know, but that would be extremely ironic if they didn't have at least something to do with Mojotone considering they are about a quarter mile away from each other.

Mojotone has addressed this and shown photos that the have their own shop. I dunno? they’re cheaper than mojotone and the dimensions on their 4x12s are not the same.

Yeah I mean that is a big furniture/wood area so it's not that shocking I guess. Their prices are pretty darn appealing.

That Brown French Alligator looks cool (are there actually gators in France?).

One thing you might check into is the spacing of the speakers. The pic on the site makes the speakers look bunched towards the center of the baffle. That affects tone.

They do in those pics. I had a Mojotone years ago and the Mojo had them closer to center. I compared with a 1960B I had at the time (80s model) and it was apparent. I just looked for pics of the inside of an 80s 1960B but only found an '81 1960A and the speakers look more spaced to me...but different cab so I won't bother posting it.

I saw the same, Marshall and their inconsistency. The slants for sure are more spaced

Jim of @Scumback has probably measured everything measureable in Marshall cabs, he probably has some insight.

I looked at getting a headshell from them but ordered from Mojotone cause they are close. Didnt know they were in NC.

I would rather order from Splawn since they are like 5 minutes down the road but I used Affirm to buy and that's not an option with Splawn.

Just ordered the 4x12. They estimate a 2-3 week lead time. Not bad for custom specs.
