It hit land as a category 3 hurricane and rapidly weakened to a tropical storm after landfall.
The storm came ashore in what we refer to as the “big bend” area of the state. That area is not a dense population center. Is Jaxadam in that area?
Most of Florida was mildly affected. In Northeast Hillsborough County, the county Tampa is in; we barely got rain and wind, but coastal areas got a lot of storm surge due to the tides and storm rotation pushing water in our direction.
Pasco county just to our north has widespread coastal flooding and people trapped in their attics.
My brother in Panama City got no wind, rain, or storm surge.
