I have a redback in a Mesa Thiele and I really like it. Was wondering how a 4x12 would sound with them? Too dark? I was even thinking of mixing redbacks and anniversary H30’s.
I’m thinking that maybe mixing some H30’s might be the ticket?I have 2 quads filled with Redbacks. It's a monstrous sound! Sometimes I will mix a couple of Creamback H75's in there to bring back a little more top end and mids. Depends which amp I'm favoring at the time.

Yeah, maybe in an X pattern would be cool. Let me know how it works out!I’m thinking that maybe mixing some H30’s might be the ticket?
Do you find it dark? I don’t think the speaker is dark per say, but it’s not shrill.I have 4 in a Friedman JEL cab, sounds great
I don’t think it’s any darker than a regular GB25, it’s maybe a hair scooped but more low and high.Do you find it dark? I don’t think the speaker is dark per say, but it’s not shrill.
V30/Redbacks is incredible.Curious about these myself. Has anyone pairedd them with v30s or do the paired speakers need to be that much brighter?
Way too dark for my tastes.I have a redback in a Mesa Thiele and I really like it. Was wondering how a 4x12 would sound with them? Too dark? I was even thinking of mixing redbacks and anniversary H30’s.

Which speaker are you wanting to mix? IFAIK, Celestion recommends not mixing speakers in the same cab that are greater than 2db apart. I agree.I am interested in the redbacks but the db difference has me concerned. Is this an issue?
Celestion told me not more than 3db apart and they used the V30/T75 as an example. My buddy Rick who works for Celestion said the same, no more than 3.Which speaker are you wanting to mix? IFAIK, Celestion recommends not mixing speakers in the same cab that are greater than 2db apart. I agree.
