Has anyone loaded a 4x12 with Celestion Redbacks?

I have 2 quads filled with Redbacks. It's a monstrous sound! Sometimes I will mix a couple of Creamback H75's in there to bring back a little more top end and mids. Depends which amp I'm favoring at the time.

I’m thinking that maybe mixing some H30’s might be the ticket?

Any speaker on the bright side would mix well with RB’s, I would think. Love the Redback.

I played my Friedman 2x12 V30/CBH75 cab against my OS Voltage 1x12 with a Redback. I was surprised how well the one Redback kept up with the V30/CBH75 mix in terms of the mids and fullness. The mids are not neutered, but just a bit less honky and the highs are somewhat rolled off. Great speaker.

Curious about these myself. Has anyone pairedd them with v30s or do the paired speakers need to be that much brighter?
V30/Redbacks is incredible.

I also want to do a V30/H75 or CL80 or K100 for variety.

I have a redback in a Mesa Thiele and I really like it. Was wondering how a 4x12 would sound with them? Too dark? I was even thinking of mixing redbacks and anniversary H30’s.
Ive got a vertical 2x12 loaded with a h30 and redback. Sounds excellent! I recommend it!

Guys with the Redbacks in a 412, is it ever too much low end?
I've heard some say they feel bass dominant speakers or speakers with big bass, don't do well in a closed back 412.
I have heard that said about Redbacks, K100s, CL80, C90s, etc.

Supposedly since a closed back 412 already has lots of natural low end.

I have Redbacks and V30s in a 412 and like it but I do have to use a boost now and then to get things tight how I want.

My Bogner 412 has V30s and H30s and I'm going to replace the H30s with K100s, C90s, CL80s or T85s. Haven't decided yet.

I am interested in the redbacks but the db difference has me concerned. Is this an issue?

I have a 212 loaded with Redbacks and it slays. Was thinking about putting 2 in an X pattern with my K100’s in the Marshall MF400.

Which speaker are you wanting to mix? IFAIK, Celestion recommends not mixing speakers in the same cab that are greater than 2db apart. I agree.

Celestion told me not more than 3db apart and they used the V30/T75 as an example. My buddy Rick who works for Celestion said the same, no more than 3.
Works well for me.
