Has anyone tested the TC Hall of Fame reverb yet?

Hi all,

I am currently looking for a good reverb pedal to go with my Einstein head. I have pretty much narrowed it down to the Digitech Hardwire RV-7 and the TC HOF. Tested the Hardwire last week and really liked it, but would love to hear if anyone has tested the HOF. None of the shops in my area have them in stock at the moment and I need to figure out whether I should wait for it to become available. All input is much appreciated!

I have a HOF. It's a really good reverb pedal.
A lot of different reverb types and almost all wonderful.
It killed my reverb-GAS :)

Do you have any favorite types? How is the spring setting?

I have the Hermida Reverb and Digitech RV-7, but this HOF reverb has me curious...

Dr scientist has a really nice tiny reverb pedal, amittedly I'm not the reverb aficionado, it it has a spring setting I'm good.

Think I will give it a try...just ordered a TC HOF online and should hopefully have it before band practice on Friday

Figured if I do not like it there is always the store's generous return policy and if I do it'll save me 20 euros compared to the hardwire. I'll let you know what I think as soon as I have tested it.

Thanks for your input guys!

I like most of the reverbs in HOF. Didn't care for maybe 2 of them.
And if You look at whole package for money. It a win-win situation :)

I was actually "delay-aways-on" player, but HOF makes me wanting to switch delay off :D

I just bought one of the HOF's online and when it arrived it wouldn't turn on. Swapped it for another and it turned on and then turned off a minute later and that was it. Two in a row tells me that there might be a bad run of these. Both were from American Musical.

I got mine from AMS and it kicks ass. Best reverb pedal I've tried.

I just got one. It's a nice pedal. But I feel the Neunaber Wet reverb is alot better sounding for just a little more $. Not as versatile though.

I have one and its an extremely nice reverb. Way better than the digitech and for the size/cash/features you cant get anything remotely as good.

mine booted the ehx holy grail i happily used for years off my board. i really like the room 'verb on the TC set subtly.

Wow. That is good to know. I had a Holy Grail years ago and really liked it. If you dumped that for the TC, then that is saying something about the sound quality of the TC.

Got my HOF in the meantime and had some time to play around with. I have to say I am really happy with the verbs you can get from this little pedal and while there might be better units out there, it can definitely hold its own against other stompboxes in the same price range soundwise.
That plus the versatility makes it a good buy in my opinion.

My favorite settings so far are Hall and Plate.

Can you go into more detail please? Did you like all modes on the HOF reverb better than the Digitech RV-7? In what ways did you like the HOF better?

Did you use the battery that came with it? If so, that's your problem. They don't last but for a few minutes. Use a power supply. There's a few threads about it on TGP

I even swapped with another battery and same thing. With power supply its fine which of course is how I would be using it, but still needs to be working with a battery since it's designed that way. The two I received are both not working correctly with a 9 volt.

Even with a brand new duracell/energizer? It should work for at least 10 minutes. I'm not sure why they even bothered with a battery if it eats them that quick. I thought my Reverb and Delay had bad switches at first since they seemed to work intermittently. Then I saw the threads on TGP and switch to power supply and everythings been fine then.

I havent tried one yet but'd love to...I can tell you the delay absolutely kills!...And I have a 2290,t-rex, and g-force,had a nova delay, and I im really digging the flashback....love it!!!!!

It works fine with the power supply, but I can't get it to work with a battery to save my life. You are right about why they even bothered if a battery can't make it even through a few songs. Oh well it sounds great in the board with the pedal power.
