it's the best tube screamer type i've ever heard/owned/played.
it's almost not fair to call it a tube screamer because it has more range, depth, headroom, and can get dumbly.
i hit mine with a tone press compressor and it produced a low gain tone that i REALLY miss. had that chimey vox vintage tone with some texas dust.

probably because the attack isn't super focused and modern
it's a low/mid gain pedal and can put out enough juice to be smooth and toneful but not sharp and chuggie so not as popular with the younger crowd

I know Lasse Lammert uses one as a clean boost on some of his clips.

I love mine. I use it as a boost rather than a standalone od. I find you get all the benefits of a ts boost (i.e. tightness, focus, etc) without sounding as pinched as others can; they seem to leave your tone with more depth and openness.
