Has Randall sold any of the Limited Hammett halfstacks?

I keep seeing the same low serial numbered ones over and over on Ebay and some of the other online sites. I know they have been trying to sell number 4 for a looooong time.

I also have been trying to find on the other forums if anyone has actually bought one of the limited ones. I know the regular ones have sold well and got decent reviews I just want to see some real life pics of the Limited flame maple half stack.

I am not interested at all in buying especially at 10k retail but I am just wondering if anyone has got one yet or knows if its any better than the regular production ones?

Does Kirk even use MTS stuff?

I like MTS stuff, but I would think a true fanboi would grab a Mesa Quad, a MK2C+, an ADA MP-1, a ROland JC120H, CAE 3+, VHT 2150, Etc. :scared: :scared:

I don't know anybody that bought one or was even intrested.

I have watched a tuning room vid or two and he was using them in those. FWIW.

Randall made 3 heads specifically for Kirk and one was held back. I have it now.

The Harvard School of Business should have a class about MeTa$$$ica, no band has had such control over their fans like them.

No wonder that dope Lars can buy $14,000,000 pieces of art, pure genius on their part to be able to take that kind of money from people.

The funny thing is I hear that Kirk still uses the rectos in his rack for the majority of his sound including all rythm parts and only uses the Randall for some cleans and leads.

Now if there was a Hetfield signature amp, I'll bet that it would sell a few.

I doubt they sold many/any. When they were first released I read that they were $10,000 each and there was a very limited quantity. I knew right then they wouldn't be able to sell any with that price tag. Now Hetfield on the other hand, I think there would be some people willing to shell out that money for a LE sig. I saw an interview with Kirk and he was saying he used a an older (modded?) Marshall and a tubescreamer for the solos on pretty much every album (this was a few years ago) so I guess that would be the cheaper and more realistic route if, for whatever reason, someone wanted to get that solo tone.

And the dopes who think that its value actually increased once he bought it.

Would anyone actually admit to it?

They look and sound great.....would not pay more than $5k for one as a living room piece  but everyone knows I'm MT(in)Sane and a fanboy

Soundwise they are identical to a production piece.

I believe Randall may have sold most, if not all of them...to dealers at any rate... :D

The funny thing is that I am dead serious, I know of no band that people will willingly throw money at them for anything with their name on it. It really is an outstanding lesson in marketing and sales.

Not to change the subject but that amp isn't worth it,like those ESP's they made
for Kirk and James,$10,000 for a guitar that isn't more then an off the rack eclipse
and M II,that iron cross is a piece of shit,it's not even the full thickness eclipse. But let's
take advantage of the fans who support them, one more fucking won't hurt. And yes I know
nobody is forcing me to buy it,but to clearly put the wood to people makes me sick.
At least if Gibson did the iron cross you know it would have been done by hand? I love ESP
and I've been using them since 1991 but I'm done buying them,I'll stick to Atlas and Charvel.
Now it's Randall's turn to cash in,it used to be rare to have signature gear, but now everybody and they're brother has a sig amp and guitar.
Sorry for pissing and moaning but enough is enough.
There's a reason Metallica is still on the road, cashing in now because tomorrow isn't looking to good, closing in on the 50 mark playing creeping death.
Just my opinion,my bad tude rant.

I believe the guys signed off on those guitars before they hit the racks right? If they felt they were being mis-represented they would have told ESP to stop making them. Especially Lars as he is very keen on being paid.

Oh if I had the boss man chair at Gibson I would have had the assembly line full tilt with Iron crosses flying for $4000 a pop.
