I will be there for about 3.5 weeks in Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo. Are there some cool places to go to look at gear? I am sure there are, so let me know!

Cool, I will be in Tokyo from 3/22-3/29. I will be working a bunch but should have two days off to look around.

Jason,

Definitely go to the Shibuya Ikebe Gakki shops. They've got a multistory building and underground are tons of high end Ibanez, ESP, and Caparison guitars. That's where I bought my Frozen Sky TAT and got to play some of the higher end Caparison guitars. Big Boss, Musicland Key, and the ESP Custom Shop were all memorable. The main thing is to go to all three districts with a few stores charted out on a map and just go into every shop on the way. A lot are not in English though.

One thing I did before going was to search for guitars here and see what shops they were at:

Enjoy you lucky bastard!

Check your PMs I sent you my contact information. I'm off that day as well (national holiday) hopefully the weather will hold out like it was today.

Have fun! I just wandered around the Beijing shops today although they pale in comparison to the Tokyo ones.
