I have Heil talk box as stated above...I normally run a Morley A/B/Y Box, A to my normal amp, and B to my Talkbox Amp. My normal amp is my Peavey JSX, my talkbox was usually my Fender Cyber Twin Head. I noticed the past couple times when I get it all hooked up, my A channel is fine, but when I go into my B channel, and turn up the master volume to a usable level, i get this squeeling feedback. I dont have to play any notes to get it, it just seems like a volume level issue.

So this past friday's show, I tried a Peavey XXX as the amp to drive the talkbox. I got the same thing. Didnt matter how the volume, gain, master volumes were set, as soon as it hit a certain point, got the same issue.

Between the Heil and the Morley, what would be causing that squeeling??

A/B the XXX and the JSX with the Morley, see if you get the same squeeling.

how so? the squeeling doesnt happen on channel A, only when its on channel B. And I've tried two amps and gotten the same squeeling on Channel B.

Well, if your getting the squeeling sound on Channel B when you've got an amp plugged in and NOT your Talk Box, then it's the Morley box.

The talkbox is powered from the Channel B amplifier's speaker outputs. Try plugging in a cab instead of the talkbox, and try channel b on the Morley. Like CaseyCor said, If you get the squealing through the cab, then it might be the A/B/Y.

Ah hah, I get it now. I thought you meant Channel A and B of the Morley.

got it....I wasnt sure what you meant by a/bing the two. I'll try that out at practice this week and see.

Is the feedback coming from the driver, or from the mic you are using, monitors or mains or both?

Does it do it with the tube separated from the mic, or with the house sound off?
I would try and isolate the talk box problem from having any connection to a feedback issue with the sound system. In fact, I practice at home with my talkbox just using the tube. To drive the talkbox, I use an amp set with just a slight crunch to the sound, any more than that and it does get kinda squeally. With a cleaner sound and highs cut a little, I can blast the driver to get a real good talk box effect. Also I'm assuming you have no other line out or speaker output being used from the amp that is driving the talkbox, also do not "Y", just A/B, otherwise at stage volumes you are looking at instant feedback.
