So I just got a brand new volume pedal (my first volume pedal). When the volume is to the max (toe down) there is a crackling noise and an occasional shutting off of the volume. Roll it back a smidge and volume comes back on. If you stop before the toe is all the way down, there is no crackle. I tried both my FX loop in one amp and in front of another amp (both use separate pedal boards), so I doubt its some cable issue on my pedal board.
Checking out reviews on Sweetwater saw 3-4 people with the same exact issue.
Before I return this to my local shop, wanted to make sure the Operator (me) isn't malfunctioning.
Anything I should do or check before I return it? Is this a common issue with this pedal. The sales rep is a good dude and highly recommended it over the Ernie Ball that they had. But if this is an ongoing Dunlop issue, I'll just swap for that one.
